Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage five-star EDGE Marvin Jones Jr. had high praise for his official visit for the first weekend of November.

The top prospect in the 2022 On300 rankings was in Tuscaloosa, Ala., this weekend for Alabama‘s close primetime victory over LSU.

He posted photos from the trip on Twitter with the caption, “Alabama felt like home.”

Marvin Jones Jr. was one of many top recruits at Bryant-Denny Stadium

The Alabama-LSU game is always one of the top games for recruits to attend, no matter how compettive the game is expected to be.

Saturday’s game was no different. Marvin Jones Jr. may have been the headliner of the weekend but the guest list was filled with as much star power as a Lollapalooza lineup.

All four of Alabama’s On3 Consensus five-star recruits — Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson EDGE Jeremiah Alexander, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive tackle Tyler Booker, Hartford (Ala.) Geneva County running back Emmanuel Henderson and Martin (Tenn.) Westview quarterback Ty Simpson of Martin (Tenn.) Westview — were at the game.

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy tight end Jaleel Skinner, a five-star recruit according to On3’s experts, was also in attendance.

On300 five-star defensive lineman Anthony Lucas of Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral, Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve four-star athlete Kendrick Law, Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove four-star defensive lineman Caden Curry and Jones’ teammate four-star cornerback Earl Little Jr. were the top uncommitted prospects in Tuscaloosa after Jones.

But the second-biggest name on the guest list was probably Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei five-star cornerback and USC commit Domani Jackson.

The On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — has Jackson ranked as the fifth-best player in the country. Jackson was seen wearing an Alabama sweatshirt while on his visit.

Jones has one more visit left

Marvin Jones Jr. has one more official visit left. He will be at Florida State next weekend. Jones is a legacy at the school as his father, Marvin Jones Sr., shined as a linebacker for the Seminoles three decades ago.

Oklahoma is also in the mix for Jones’ signature.
